The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl Bantam A boys’ hockey team improved to 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in conference play with a pair of wins over the weekend.
The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl Bantam A boys’ hockey team improved to 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in conference play with a pair of wins over the weekend.
The Prowl opened with a 7-1 win over the Bismarck Generals, getting a four-goal game from Ben Sorenson. Jake Stilwell scored twice and Andrew Yatskis also tallied. Stilwell also had two assists, as did Riley Schafer. Terry Bruns, Yatskis, Pat Fowler and Chad Neumann had one each. Goaltender Tygh Yatskis stopped 16 shots.
The Prowl followed with a 5-1 win over Wahpeton, with Stilwell earning the hat trick. Schafer and Brady Anderson rounded out the scoring. Schafer and Anderson each earned two assists. Sorenson and Yatskis had one each. Tygh Yatskis stopped 20 of the 21 shots he faced.
