Oakes teachers, administrators to take pie in face for good cause

Instead of exchanging gifts in the classroom, teachers and students at Oakes (N.D.) Elementary School have decided to spread some holiday cheer to wish kids. The teachers and administrators are even willing to take a pie in the face for such a good cause.

Instead of exchanging gifts in the classroom, teachers and students at Oakes (N.D.) Elementary School have decided to spread some holiday cheer to "wish" kids. The teachers and administrators are even willing to take a pie in the face for such a good cause.

Since Dec. 1, students and faculty have been collecting money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each teacher and administrator are assigned to a contribution box, and it’s up to the students to decide which faculty members will receive a pie in the face by putting money in their boxes. The two teachers and one administrator with the most money win the grand prize — a pie in the face!

The event is at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Oakes High School gym.
