U-14 girls extend winning streak
The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl U-14 girls’ hockey team improved to 8-1-1 and extended its winning streak to seven games with a pair of wins last weekend.
The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl U-14 girls’ hockey team improved to 8-1-1 and extended its winning streak to seven games with a pair of wins last weekend.
Amber Schaack scored six goals in the two games, two coming in their 4-0 win over Wahpeton-Breckenridge U-19. Carissa Finck stopped all 11 shots sent her way for her fourth shutout of the season. Larissa Wiest and Kelsey Neumann also had two goals. Schaack, Brenna Pritchert, Stephanie Kamlitz and Sarah Auka got assists.
Four skaters had two or more goals in the Prowl’s 12-7 win over May-Port U-19. Schaack had six points in all, including four more goals. Stephanie Kamlitz, Torri Kamlitz and Morgan Geigle each buried the puck twice. Auka and Pritchert also tallied. Torri and Stephanie Kamlitz each had four-point games with two assists. Pritchert and Wiest also got helpers. Finck had 24 saves as the Prowl outshot May-Port 57-31.
