BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — For the first time, the South Dakota State University Jackrabbit women’s basketball team is nationally ranked.

The team is listed at No. 22 among the top 25 Division I women’s teams in the nation in the USA Today/ESPN coaches

poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.

The Jackrabbit women, 10-1, barely missed out on a top 25 spot in The Associated Press poll, released Monday. SDSU had the most poll votes of teams that didn’t make the top 25.

The team plays UC Davis Wednesday night at home.
