MDU Resources Group, Inc. says it’s working on plans for a 19.5 megawatt wind project with 13 wind turbines about five miles west of Rhame, in Bowman County.

BISMARCK (AP) — MDU Resources Group, Inc. says it’s working on plans for a 19.5 megawatt wind project with 13 wind turbines about five miles west of Rhame, in Bowman County.

MDU’s subsidiary, Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., also says it will expand its Diamond Willow wind facility near Baker, Mont., along the North Dakota border. MDU says the expansion will add seven wind turbines on land the company leases.

Both projects need approval from regulators. MDU says the projects will serve about 10,000 homes in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
