FORT TOTTEN, N.D. (AP) — The FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a snowdrift on the Spirit Lake Reservation.

FBI Agent E.K. Wilson said the body of the 23-year-old tribal member was found by a passing motorist just before 10 a.m. Sunday, in a snowdrift off state Highway 57, near Fort Totten. Authorities didn’t immediately name the victim.

Wilson said authorities have not ruled out foul play. He said an autopsy is to be done Tuesday.
