Minot Ryan school closed by snow

Minot’s Bishop Ryan High School has closed so crews can get the snow off the roof. Principal Terry Voiles said the drifts are more than 4 feet high over the gymnasium.

MINOT (AP) — Minot’s Bishop Ryan High School has closed so crews can get the snow off the roof.

Principal Terry Voiles said the drifts are more than 4 feet high over the gymnasium.

Voiles said the school closing is a precaution for the safety of students, teachers and staff. He expects it will reopen Monday.

Minot Ryan boys basketball games scheduled for the next two nights have been moved to the Minot State University Dome.
