Burleigh County to close some roads
Burleigh County officials are planning to close more than 10 miles of township roads for the winter. County road supervisor Rodney Ness said drifting has been a problem with all the heavy snow in the area. He said 61.5 inches has fallen so far this winter.
BISMARCK (AP) — Burleigh County officials are planning to close more than 10 miles of township roads for the winter.
County road supervisor Rodney Ness said drifting has been a problem with all the heavy snow in the area. He said 61.5 inches has fallen so far this winter.
Ness and county engineer Marcus Hall said they’ll ask township officials to decide which roads they won’t need for the next three months.
Ness said all 47 townships contract with Burleigh County to maintain roads.
