The opening is scheduled for Feb. 2. All proceeds will go to serving people with developmental disabilities. The program will depend heavily on volunteers from the community.

According to Project Manager Roger Schwinghammer, The Arc Treasureland has been three years in the planning. The Arc has various benefits: people with developmental disabilities will receive services and provide them with jobs and the community will be provided economical and needed products, keep landfill demand down and provide tax deductions for donations made.
