Kidder County gets first-round bye
The No. 4-ranked Kidder County Lady Pirates (16-1) have earned the No. 1 seed in next week’s District 6 girls’ basketball tournament in Linton. The tournament begins next Thursday (Feb. 12) with No. 4-seeded Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock facing No. 5-seeded Strasburg-Zeeland at 4:30 p.m. Beginning at 6 p.m., No. 2-seeded Linton will take on No. 7-seeded South Border.

The tournament begins next Thursday (Feb. 12) with No. 4-seeded Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock facing No. 5-seeded Strasburg-Zeeland at 4:30 p.m. Beginning at 6 p.m., No. 2-seeded Linton will take on No. 7-seeded South Border.
The opening round of the tournament will wrap up at 7:30 p.m., with Napoleon (No. 3) facing Wing (No. 6). Kidder County has received a first-round bye, and will face either Strasburg-Zeeland or H-M-B at 6 p.m. next Friday.
The tournament runs through Saturday, with games beginning at 4:30 p.m. each day of the tournament.
