Morton County added to no travel advisory that includes Jamestown area

The North Dakota Department of Transportation issued a no travel advisory around 6:50 tonight for the central and south west regions of North Dakota due to blowing snow that is sticking to the roadway causing very icy conditions.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a no travel advisory for the central and south west regions of North Dakota due to blowing snow that is sticking to the roadway causing very icy conditions. The advisory includes Dickinson, Minot, Bismarck, Jamestown and surrounding areas. Devils Lake was added to the no travel advisory around 7:15 p.m. and Morton County was added around 9 p.m.

A travel alert remains in effect for all other regions of North Dakota due to long stretches of compacted snow and scattered ice on the roadway. Motorists are cautioned to be alert to changing conditions.

N.D. Highway 200A is blocked north of Washburn.

N.D. Highway 1806 remains blocked from the junction of N.D. Highway 8 near twin Buttes to U.S. Highway 200 north of Hazen due to snow drifts.
