Verizon Wireless is temporarily closed after a vehicle crashed into its office building Friday, said Levi Serfoss, manager at Cellular Communications.

A driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal, Serfoss said, and hit the front of the building, breaking a window and bowing the wall around 10:15 A.M. Friday.

“With the foundation being unstable, we don’t want anybody getting hurt,” he said.

The office will be closed for about 10 days for remodeling, he said.

CitiFinancial employees said their office will remain open.

Information about the crash from the Jamestown Police Department was not immediately available.
