Black Hills men, DSU women win titles

Luke Enos added 18 and Clay Pottorff 17 for the Yellow Jackets.

No. 5-ranked Black Hills State (27-4) clinched the league’s automatic berth in the NAIA Division II national tournament, which opens on March 11 in Point Lookout, Mo.

Kelsey Boedeker scored 19 points and Ashley Emmons 18 to help the No. 7-ranked Dickinson State Blue Hawks beat No. 10-ranked Black Hills State 67-64 in the DAC women’s title game.

Kia Herbel added eight points and 11 rebounds in the victory, which gives Dickinson State (24-6) the league’s automatic berth in the national tournament, which begins on March 11 in Sioux City, Iowa.

Black Hills State (24-7) and No. 20-ranked Jamestown College (20-9) still have a chance at earning at-large bids for the national tournament.
