P-B-K’s Thomas named District 5 Player of Year
Cale Thomas of Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal has been named District 5 Senior Player of the Year. Thomas was also named to the all-District 5 team.

District tournament champion Central Prairie had three players named in Nic Moser, Brock Knodel and Chris Fayville.
Ellendale’s Nolan Hamar and Tanner White were chosen from the District 5 runner-up Cardinals.
LaMoure (Brett Hample, Aaron Stemen) and Litchville-Marion-Montpelier (Dillon Carpenter, Chad Limesand) each had two players cited.
Also named to the team were Kyle Heinze of Barnes County North and Edgeley-Kulm’s Alex Knudson.
Central Prairie’s Paul Erbele was named District 5 Coach of the Year, while Matt Scherbenske of Edgeley was named District 5 Athletic Director of the Year.
The Region 3 tournament is set for March 6-7 and 9 at the Jamestown Civic Center.
