No. 17 Jacks win

Jill Young came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 5:12 left, to lift No. 17 South Dakota State past Oral Roberts 71-64 in the regular-season finale for both teams on Monday night.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Jill Young came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 5:12 left, to lift No. 17 South Dakota State past Oral Roberts 71-64 in the regular-season finale for both teams on Monday night.

South Dakota State (28-2, 17-1) clinched its second consecutive Summit League title and extended its winning streak to 14 games.

Mariana Camargo led Oral Roberts (13-16, 6-12) with 15 points.

Young’s seventh 3-pointer, a season high for the Jackrabbits, snapped a 52-52 tie and began a decisive 7-0 run. SDSU held the game’s biggest lead at 62-54 after Maria Boever’s free throws with 1:41 left.

Rotert added 14 points and Boever 12 for the Jacks.
