Dakota Athletic Conference champ Dickinson State was eliminated from the NAIA Division II women’s basketball tournament on Friday, falling 69-56 to Ozarks (Mo.).

Lindsy Murray scored 23 points and Kayli Combs 22 for Ozarks, which has played in the last three national title games, finishing second each time.

The Blue Hawks got 17 points from Kelsey Boedeker and 14 points and 11 rebounds from Kia Herbel in the loss.

Later on Saturday, Black Hills State was knocked out of the tournament by the defending national champions, No. 1-ranked Morningside (Iowa), 72-56.

Dani Gass and Laura Nelson had 18 points apiece for the Mustangs. Katelynn Lamb led BHSU with 10.

In Point Lookout, Mo., the Black Hills State men built a 16-point halftime lead and hung on for a 77-73 win over Grace (Ind.) in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division II men’s tournament on Saturday.

Cain Atkinson led five Jackets in double figures with 15 points. Luke Enos had 13 points and eight rebounds, Aaron Sutton netted 12, Spencer Childress had 10 and AJ Fodness recoreded a double double with 10 points and 11 boards.

The No. 5 seed Jackets (30-4) take on No. 1 seed Oklahoma Wesleyan (33-2) at 6 p.m. on Monday in the national semifinals.
