Fargo station, DirecTV reach agreement

A dispute that removed a Fargo CBS affiliate from the region’s DirecTV satellite cable systems has been settled in time for viewers to watch their local team in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. KXJB TV General Manager Charley Johnson said representatives of KXJB and DirecTV reached an agreement that will allow KXJB and its CBS programming to return to the DirecTV lineup.

FARGO (AP) — A dispute that removed a Fargo CBS affiliate from the region’s DirecTV satellite cable systems has been settled in time for viewers to watch their local team in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

KXJB TV General Manager Charley Johnson said representatives of KXJB and DirecTV reached an agreement that will allow KXJB and its CBS programming to return to the DirecTV lineup.

Johnson said negotiators for both sides worked hard to get the deal done in time for basketball fans to see the North Dakota State University Bison play in their first NCAA tournament game, scheduled late Friday morning.
