The North Dakota Department of Transportation lifted the no-travel advisory for the Jamestown, Valley City and Grand Forks areas. A travel alert remains in place for these areas due to icy roads and snow. A no-travel advisory remains in place for Kidder County, Fargo, Wahpeton and the surrounding areas because of low visibility, icy and snow-covered roads as well as flooded roads.

Motorists are cautioned to be alert to changing conditions and be aware of heavy drifts at structures and sheltered areas. Travelers are encouraged to monitor road conditions, reduce traffic speeds as weather conditions occur and use caution while traveling. For road information, call 511 from any type of phone or go to the Web site: www.511.nd.gov for road and weather conditions.

The 511 road report is based upon the information available to the NDDOT at the time of preparation and is provided solely as a public service. Conditions may vary from those reported. If motorists become stranded they should stay with their vehicle and call 911 for emergency assistance.
