Jamestown Airport reopens

The Jamestown Regional Airport reopened its main runway today. The water receded enough to resume normal operations, said Andrew Schneider, airport manager.

The Jamestown Regional Airport reopened its main runway today.

The water receded enough to resume normal operations, said Andrew Schneider, airport manager. The secondary runway will remain closed until further notice. Commercial flight operations will resume this afternoon, he said.

The airport will monitor the drainage system in attempts to avoid similar situations once the weather warms up, Schneider said.
