Because of weather and ice on the road, the North Dakota Department of Transportation closed Highway 27 from Highway 1 east to Lisbon, N.D.
Also because of weather, The McIntosh County Road Supervisor is asking all motorists driving on the county gravel roads to not exceed 25 mph. Motorists are urged to use caution, said Cecily Fong, Public Information Officer, ND Department of Emergency Services.
The gravel roads are in poor condition due to the excessive water. Some of the gravel roads may have washouts. The County has been flagging areas but the rain and ice have been busting the flags off. Most of the culverts remain frozen.
