Area communities included in travel alert

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for the Devils Lake area as well as south west and south central North Dakota.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for the Devils Lake area as well as south west and south central North Dakota. The alert includes Devils Lake, Rolla, Langdon, Carrington, Rugby, Dickinson, Belfield, Bowman, Mott, Beulah, Bismarck, McClusky, Underwood, Center, Flasher, Napoleon, Glen Ullin and the surrounding areas due to snow and blowing snow that is sticking to the roadway creating icy conditions.

* A no-travel advisory remains in effect for Steele and the surrounding area due to snow and blowing snow that is sticking to the roadway creating icy conditions.

* A no-travel advisory remains in effect for north central North Dakota due to blowing and drifting snow as well as icy road conditions. The advisory includes Minot and the surrounding areas. A no-travel advisory also remains in effect for Fargo, Wahpeton and the surrounding areas.
