One last Masters for Gary Player

Gary Player is calling it a career at Augusta National after his 52nd Masters appearance this week. The 73-year-old South African announced Monday this will be his final Masters, a tournament he won three times on his way to capturing the career grand slam.

The 73-year-old South African announced Monday this will be his final Masters, a tournament he won three times on his way to capturing the career grand slam.

Player already holds the record for most appearances at Augusta, breaking a tie with Arnold Palmer when he played in his 51st Masters last year. He’s only made the cut four times in the last 21 years.
