FARGO (AP) — Minnesota State University Moorhead is considering starting an NCAA Division I hockey program, but North Dakota State University in neighboring Fargo is not.
Bison athletic director Gene Taylor says NDSU has other priorities at the moment.
The school is trying to raise more than $40 million to remodel the Bison Sports Arena and build an addition to the Fargodome.
Taylor also says it would be risky to assume the Western Collegiate Hockey Association would add a startup program.
