PARK RIVER, N.D. (AP) — Walsh County Sheriff Lauren Wild says authorities will monitor the Park River for signs of a pickup driver missing after the pickup was swept away by floodwaters.
Authorities said the pickup driven by Jared Udby, 27, of Adams, was swept off a gravel township road near the Homme Dam shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, about a mile north of the town of Park River.
Passengers Greg Gustafson, 27, of Adams, and Ashley Blasky, 21, of Fargo, were able to swim to safety and notify authorities, who searched for Udby all day Sunday.
``We're going to keep looking,' Wild said Monday. ``We'll watch the river level, looking for any signs. It's way too dangerous for anybody to go in there.'
