Lawrence earns JRCC honors
Correctional Officer Amanda Lawrence was chosen as employee of the month for April for the James River Correctional Center.
Correctional Officer Amanda Lawrence was chosen as employee of the month for April for the James River Correctional Center.
Lawrence has been as-signed as the control room officer, an area which is not only significantly high in stress but also requires the strong ability to multi-task. Officials said Lawr-ence demonstrates the ability to handle all of the duties of this position in a calm and professional manner. She remains collected in an emergency and has clear communications with staff. She also assists with female transports and has performed the duties of lieutenant.
Lawrence was chosen for the award due to her work ethic and her contributions to the JRCC.
