Kidder County sweeps Hettinger
Kidder County breezed past Hettinger 16-6 and 14-4 in Class B high school baseball on Monday. Trailing 4-1 after two innings, the Pirates exploded for four runs in the third, six in the fourth and five in the fifth to notch the win. Kidder County’s Derrek Heins pitched all five innings and was credited with the victory.

Trailing 4-1 after two innings, the Pirates exploded for four runs in the third, six in the fourth and five in the fifth to notch the win. Kidder County’s Derrek Heins pitched all five innings and was credited with the victory.
Jaymes Six went 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI, while Lyle Anderson batted 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and Kash Wolff added a hit, three RBI and three runs.
Kidder County’s hot bats continued in the nightcap. A total of five hitters in Kidder County’s lineup had multiple hits in the game, led by Taylor Heins (4-for-4) and Jake Miller (3-for-3).

Sheyenne-New Rockford (4-2) made quick work of the Devils Lake JV on Tuesday.
Michael Myhre struck out five hitters and shut out the Firebirds.
Myhre also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. The Rockets’ Brett Allmaras and Evan Guler both went 2-for-2, while Shane Stafford went 2-for-3 with a triple.
