COLUMBUS, N.D. (AP) — Burke County authorities have identified a couple found dead after a house fire near Columbus, and they say the fire has been ruled accidental.

Sheriff Barry Jager said the bodies of 82-year-old Glenn Martinson and his 72-year-old wife, May, were found Sunday morning in their burned home.

A statement from the sheriff’s office said authorities believe the fire started in the wood shop and spread to a breezeway and then to the house. The sheriff said Glenn Martinson’s body was found lying by the door in the attached wood shop and May Martinson was found lying on the bed in the home’s west bedroom.
