Ellendale receives funding for project

Gov. John Hoeven has announced $1.4 million in funding for 13 statewide projects under the North Dakota Department of Transportation Safe Routes to School program. The federal program aims to improve infrastructure and provide encouragement so students will walk or bicycle to schools.

Gov. John Hoeven has announced $1.4 million in funding for 13 statewide projects under the North Dakota Department of Transportation Safe Routes to School program. The federal program aims to improve infrastructure and provide encouragement so students will walk or bicycle to schools.

Among those communities awarded funding was Ellendale.

Another cycle of applications for the program will be taken from the end of August through November. Approximately $1 million will be awarded to communities throughout the state.
