Bison’s Carlson sets school, meet records
Whitney Carlson had a big weekend for the North Dakota State track team. The Buchanan native won the 100 hurdles and the 400 hurdles for the Bison at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Buchanan native won the 100 hurdles and the 400 hurdles for the Bison at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls, S.D. She set a school and meet record by running the 100 hurdled in 13.89 seconds. She won the 400 hurdles in 1:00.41, which is second on the NDSU all-time list.
Carlson has now qualified for the NCAA regional in three events — the long jump, 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles. She has broken school records in both the long jump and 100 hurdles this spring.
