Jamestown College graduate Eric Schmid of Park Rapids, Minn., has received a North Dakota Experimental Project to Stimulate Competitive Re-search graduate student research assistantship. He will enroll at the University of North Dakota in the fall to pursue a master’s degree in chemical engineering.
Schmid graduated Saturday from Jamestown College with degrees in mathematics and chemistry.
His award is valued at $35,400 and includes a tuition waiver, provided satisfactory academic pro-gress.
The program provides a mechanism for strengthening the relationships be-tween four-year comprehensive and liberal arts colleges and universities and North Dakota’s re-search universities.
