North Dakota regulators are proposing a $2,750 fine for land reclamation violations at a Beulah coal mine.

The state Public Service Commission said Dakota Westmoreland Corp. allowed significant soil erosion along a coal truck hauling road last April.

Commission President Kevin Cramer said the company repaired the problem quickly after a commission inspector discovered it.
