West Fargo students’ Europe trip still on

A businessman says the European class trip for 21 West Fargo high school students is a “go,” after a fundraising drive to make up their lost savings.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A businessman says the European class trip for 21 West Fargo high school students is a “go,” after a fundraising drive to make up their lost savings.

Tom Kenville led the drive to raise enough for the students’ air fare after they learned the money they had paid to a Massachusetts company had been wiped out when the company filed for bankruptcy. Kenville told the students Tuesday night that they would see Paris, after all.

The students are planning a volunteer day as a way to say thanks to those helping make their trip possible.
