Nathan Dykema charged out of the blocks and held off a late push by Linton’s Roemmich brothers to win the Class B boys’ 110 meter hurdles title.
The Lisbon senior got off to a great start, which enabled him to hold on late for a state title on Saturday at the Bismarck Community Bowl. Dykema clocked in at 15.48 seconds, edging Scott (15.69) and Trent Roemmich (15.82) of Linton, who came in second and third, respectively.
The Roemmichs also finished second and third, in the same order, in the 300 hurdles. Scott ran 40.36 and Trent 40.78. They also both ran on the Lions’ state-champion 1600 relay team (3:29.98), along with Brandon and Brady Weber.
