Bike Safety Rodeo scheduled

A Bike Safety Rodeo is set for June 12, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

A Bike Safety Rodeo is set for June 12, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The rodeo includes a safety village for children to ride bikes through. Officials from the police department as well as from the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department will be on hand to inspect bikes, tires and brakes for safety.

The departments will offer free bike helmets (while supplies last) and bike licenses for $5. The regular fee is $15.

The Bike Safety Rodeo is set for 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 12 at Wilson Arena.
