An evening of music and desserts awaits the community Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church when the Central Minnesota Boys’ Choir presents a concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. followed by desserts in the Fellowship Hall.
The 24-member choir, made up of fourth-through seventh-grade boys from Wadena, Staples, Verndale, Baxter and Brainerd, is in its ninth year and has earned a reputation for excellence and artistry.
The choir, directed by Mary Moen and accompanied by Debra Haraldson, has performed at the Upper Mid-West District Convention of the Associated Male Choruses of America, has appeared at Orchestra Hall with the Metropolitan Boys’ Choir, and has recently sung at the Minnesota Music Educators’ Association Mid-Winter Clinic in Minneapolis. They have toured to Du-luth, Minneapolis, Grand Forks and Winnipeg.
The concert will follow the regularly scheduled 6:45 p.m. worship service. A basket will be at the dessert table for those wishing to donate to the Trinity youth trip to New Orleans.
