A Lisbon, N.D., woman was killed in an ATV rollover Thursday night in Sargent County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The patrol said Kari Ann Herbst, 26, Lisbon, was driving a 2008 Yamaha ATV eastbound on Sargent County Road 1 at about 10:57 p.m. Thursday when she lost control of the ATV about 4 miles east of North Dakota Highway 32. The ATV rolled on the roadway and Herbst was thrown into the north shoulder of the roadway. The ATV rolled into the north ditch.
Herbst was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol said she had not been wearing a helmet.
The Yamaha sustained $4,000 damage.
The crash remains under investigation.
