Cargill Malt of Spiritwood has awarded the Arc of North Dakota a grant of $3,000 toward opening costs of The Arc’s The Arc Treasureland, 1202 12th Ave. S.E., Jamestown in the old Stutsman Harley-Davidson building. Cargill has also sponsored a donation drive among its employees for gently used goods which will be sold at the Arc Treasureland. Proceeds from the sale of used and new, brand name overstocked merchandise will benefit people with developmental disabilities.
Roger Schwinghammer, project manager and member of the Arc’s volunteer board of directors, said “Cargill in its generosity has been a model for the community. We hope that other individuals and organizations in James-town and surrounding communities will follow Cargill’s example of support.”
