UND group suggests diversity officer
University of North Dakota group looking into bias and intolerance on campus is recommending a diversity officer.
GRAND FORKS (AP) — A University of North Dakota group looking into bias and intolerance on campus is recommending a diversity officer.
The report said incidents of bias and racism on campus may be underreported, and it said some officials seem too worried about public relations and legal liability issues.
Dan Rice is a UND dean and the task force chairman. He said UND is not exempt from the tension that is part of society as a whole.
UND President Robert Kelley has asked administrators to review the report.
