ST. ANTHONY, N.D. (AP) — It’s called the Highway 21 Treasure Hunt — a weekend to stop, shop and deal along a 100-mile stretch of country road in central and western North Dakota.
The sale runs every year about this time, from St. Anthony to New England.
One of this year’s shoppers, Laura Olson, came from Slope County. She said she found a snowblower, a bed spread and tape recorders.
Clyde Hinle of Flasher estimated about 100 shoppers came through his garage by afternoon Friday. He thinks more people are looking for bargains because of the economy.
One of the yard sale hosts, Nancy Belland, said there were lots of things to check out. She said, “you name it, we just want to clean it out.”
