AAUW garden tour canceled

The American Association of University Women canceled its annual garden tour this year because of flood-related issues, said Kelly Krein, who helps organize the event for AAUW.
The dikes, debris and water impeded homes and backyards, making many unsuitable for touring this year. Instead, the AAUW will focus its fundraising efforts on its used book sale at the Buffalo Mall, she said.
The group expects to reorganize the tour in 2010.
“We’ll be back doing it again next year,” Krein said.
