FARGO (AP) — Billy Crystal and Bob Costas plan to host a showing of Crystal’s film “61À” at the Fargo Theatre on Saturday night.
The movie released eight years ago is the story of Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle and the 1961 Yankees. The actor-producer and sportscaster will hold a question-and-answer session after it’s shown.
Maris grew up in Fargo and went on to hit 61 home runs for the Yankees in 1961, breaking Babe Ruth’s single-season record. Maris’ record has since been eclipsed by three different players.
The showing of “61À” is in conjunction with the Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament in Fargo this weekend.
