Kensal school receives funds

Kensal Public School recently received a $500 check for their implementation of the Make a Sound Choice life skills program. All costs for implementation and educator training were funded by a Department of Health and Human Services grant awarded to FirstChoice Clinic, Fargo.

Kensal Public School recently received a $500 check for their implementation of the Make a Sound Choice life skills program. All costs for implementation and educator training were funded by a Department of Health and Human Services grant awarded to FirstChoice Clinic, Fargo. Make a Sound Choice is a youth-development program of FirstChoice Clinic. It encourages the importance of avoiding all high-risk behaviors such as sex, drugs, tobacco, alcohol and violence for young people. It’s goal is to help youth understand the emotional, intellectual and physical helath-risks involved when they engage in these behaviors. Make a Sound Choice teaches goal setting, character building and self-control.

This disbursement is intended for use to further educate youth regarding risk-taking behaviors of all sorts, as well as to encourage positive character and life skill development.
