The American Red Cross in Stutsman, Logan. McIntosh, Dickey, LaMoure and Foster counties has many ways volunteers can help their community this summer and be a part of President Barack Obama’s nationwide “United We Serve.”

“We are pleased to participate in United We Serve and thank the president for making this call to service,” said Beth Dewald, executive director of the Buffalo Valley chapter of the Red Cross. “Everyone has something to give. By serving this summer, we hope more people will make an ongoing commitment to volunteering throughout the year.”

Volunteers can help deliver preparedness messages. They can participate in first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training, disaster response, assist with military emergency communications for soldiers and families, assist in the office, or for more ways to help, contact the Buffalo Valley Chapter at 701-252-3550 or at buffalovalley@ jamestownredcross.org.
