LCSMT staging ‘Music Man’

The LaMoure County Summer Musical Theatre has held auditions for its summer production of Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man.”

The cast is made up of more than 30 people from six North Dakota communities. The cast includes Larry, Jane, Bryce and Preston Andersen, Wendy Clemens, Megan Cunningham, Janna and Marissa Diggs, Katie Hicks, Doug and Kathy Sitzler and Carley, Julia, Michael A. and Michael B. Spiese, all of Oakes; Olivia Larson, Bob Muhs, Alexandra and Elaine Diesem, of LaMoure; Adam Burkman, Alyssa and Gloria Gackle and Laura and Susan Kusler of Kulm; Nicole Thom, Christian Warcken, and Heidi, Kelle and Xandria Bacon of Edgeley; Dylan Hovind of Gwinner, and Madison Mandan of James-town.

Darcy and Lauren Brandenburg of Fargo will direct the show and the music director will be Renee Bowen of Marion. The show will be costumed by Christine Hatton of Grand Rapids and choreographed by Suzanne Spiese of Oakes. “The Music Man” will be performed July 23-26 and July 30 through Aug. 2 at the LaMoure Public School gym. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances start at 8 p.m. and Sunday performances start at 2 p.m.

The July 26 performance has been sold out for Thri-vent Financial’s Lutherans patrons’ appreciation day.
