High risk sex offender living in Streeter N.D.

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department warned area residents of a convicted high-risk sex offender living in Streeter, N.D., in a press release issued Tuesday. The department said Christopher Michael Wilks, 36, is living at 122 Helen St. North, #6, in Streeter.

Wilks was convicted of sexual assault, a Class C felony, on Feb. 24, 2005 for sexual contact he had with a 16-year-old female in Maddock, N.D. He received a five-year suspended sentence and five years supervised probation.

Wilks is described as a white male, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 260 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He drives a red and gray 1989 Dodge pickup.

The North Dakota Risk Level Committee of the Office of the Attorney General has assigned a high-risk assessment to Wilks.

While on probation, Wilks is not do any of the following without approval of his parole agent: loiter near school yards, parks, playgrounds, arcades or other places primarily used by minors; seek employment with any agency or place of business that provides service for the care and custody of minors; socialize with anyone younger than the age of 18; subscribe to an Internet service provider; purchase, possess or use sexually stimulating materials of any kind; or possess children’s items such as clothing, toys, games, pictures and books.

The sheriff’s department said Wilks is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is meant for public safety, the release said, and not to cause fear. The department said this information should not be used to threaten, harass, assault or intimidate Wilks.
