Mandan police capture walkaways
Mandan police say they have apprehended a man and a woman who walked away from a halfway house over the weekend. Authorities said officers found 25-year-old Francis Reed and 31-year-old Carleen Redbear walking in south Mandan after an anonymous tip was called in Wednesday night. Lt. Chris Miller said they were taken into custody without incident.
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Mandan police say they have apprehended a man and a woman who walked away from a halfway house over the weekend.
Authorities said officers found 25-year-old Francis Reed and 31-year-old Carleen Redbear walking in south Mandan after an anonymous tip was called in Wednesday night. Lt. Chris Miller said they were taken into custody without incident.
Reed and Redbear had been missing since Saturday, when they walked away from Centre Inc. in Mandan.
Police said Reed has a history of assault and terrorizing, and Redbear’s criminal record includes escape and theft of property.
