Lynx sign Humphrey

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx have signed former first-round draft choice Tasha Humphrey.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx have signed former first-round draft choice Tasha Humphrey.

Humphrey was drafted 11th overall by the Detroit Shock in 2008. She was traded to Washington late last season. Humphrey averaged 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game with the Mystics last season, but was waived last week after her production plunged.

She was averaging just 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds this season when she was waived.

To make room on the roster, the Lynx waived center Christi Thomas. The veteran had only limited playing time in 10 games this season.
