S.D. woman, child die after car plunges into lake
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say a Huron woman and a child died when their car plunged into a lake southwest of Wessington.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say a Huron woman and a child died when their car plunged into a lake southwest of Wessington.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday.
The patrol says 33-year-old Katherina Naw lost control of her car along a curve, then went into a ditch before going into the lake at Rose Hill Recreation Area. The car went underwater, and Naw and 1-year-old Nang Zin Naing, were unable to get out.
