Stutsman County would contribute an extra $10,000 to the administrative costs of the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation under a preliminary budget approved by the Stutsman County Commission today.
“The request to the county is for $78,000,” said Noel Johnson, Stutsman County chief operating officer. “That compares to $68,000 last year.”
The county contribution to the JSDC is funded by the jobs development tax levy. Johnson said in past years the county had levied four mills generating about $240,000. The fund is also used to provide financial incentives to new and expanding businesses on a case by case basis.
