Tickets to N.D. State Fair could set a record

North Dakota State Fair officials say ticket sales for the grandstand show package could set a record this year.

MINOT (AP) — North Dakota State Fair officials say ticket sales for the grandstand show package could set a record this year.

Marketing Director Shannon Pearson said advance tickets for the country music package already have topped last year. She said Motley Crue and Taylor Swift are huge draws for the first weekend of the fair — and the weather looks good so far.

The State Fair starts Friday and runs through Aug. 1. Last year’s attendance was about 239,000.
